Moola Mantra

I find the Moola Mantra to be extremely calming, and I love to recite it before or after some silent meditation.

ohm sachidananda parabrahma purushotthama paramathma sri bhagavathi sametha sri bhagavathe namaha.

MEANING:

ohm> this has more than 90 synonyms but here this means “welcome”

sachidananda = sath+chith+ananda

God is existing in these three states sath, chith and ; ananda. Like the water (H2O) exist as ice, water and steam at triple point( at 0.01 degree centigrade)

sath is the formless existence , chith is the physical body, ananda is the bliss or awareness.

Parabrahma> Brahma means creater (human), para means the absolute

so parabrahma means absolute creater. Actually All creation is by god, but inbetween the ‘I’ is redefining the life flowing through senses all the time .

Purushothama = purusha + uthama

Purusha means the cause, uthama is the absolute. God is the absolute cause for himself.

Paramathma> Parama + athma

Athma is the soul and Paramathma is the Supreme soul (soul behind souls).

Sri> Greatful.

Bhagavathi sametha> Bhagavathi is the feminine part (Amma), sametha means inclusive.

Bhagavathe> Masculine part (Bhagavan)

Namaha> Saluting.

All this explaination applies to Sri Ammabhagavan who always lead us as formless and physically , we pray them with moola manthra.

My most recent purchase has been a beaded clear quartz and bloodstone bracelet – for work mainly, to keep the stress levels manageable.

As you may already know, the clear quartz is a very versatile crystal that is very often used to balance other crystals, absorb negativity and dissolve blockages.

The bloodstone assists us in reducing conflict. It helps to free emotional energy that may be tied up in tension and uncertainty. Thus, it helps to reduce physical and mental stress and assists in renewing the physical, mental and emotional bodies. (Source)

Let me admit it, I’m a little unmotivated by the number of ppl who read this blog. I was blogging rather religiously and the numbers are sad to say the least. Why blog when nobody is reading?? ):

Anyway, for those of you who do read this blog, thank you (:

I’m really busy nowadays with a full time job and all, but I do set aside an hour a day to meditate and read a little. The marvelous book that is The Buddha Said… by Osho is amazing to say the least. Its never taken so much time or concentration for me to read a book, ever, but I can say that it is totally worth it.

This track has pretty much been on repeat the whole of today, I hope it brings some peace into your life.

Monthly Review – May 2010

At the beginning of each year, I do a yearly reading for myself. Nothing elaborate, just one card a month, and I’ve always looked back to see how accurate my monthly readings are. Call it a self fulfilling prophecy if you must, but I’m usually surprised at how right the card seems to be.

My card for May 2010 was Projections.

This card is very loaded with emotions and future tense. It conjures up these thoughts:

making plans for the future
new projects
human relationships moving forward
judgement
diversification
rebirth
getting rid of things of the past
reflecting on life
making clear choices

And I cannot emphasize how much of this I’ve done this month, even up till today, the 31st of the month, I’ve been very busy making choices. And I’m just hoping that I have enough resolve to stick to them, because I’ve really never been one for sticking to things. I’m also looking to The Master, my card for June, for a little help.

Interpretation:

Root Chakra: Receptivity
This relates to the fact that I’m being as open and as accepting as possible to what I consider to be bringing me security, my job. No it is not my dream job, but I’m constantly trying to see it in its best light and accept it for what it is. This openness shows emotion and willingness.

Water Chakra: Exhaustion
Tell me about it, I’m so tired of all the things that have happened in the relationship area of my life, it is exhausting to get over and move past love. Difficult and tiring, I am exhausted.

Navel Chakra: Mind
I am trying to learn as much as possible, placing constant attention on my mind. Maybe I am trying to get a lot in during a short period of time, but I’m comfortable with it, so that’s alright. I’m just feeding my thirst.

Heart Chakra: Innocence, The Master
I am in control of my heart, because I’m always using my mind first. I’ve got to train to become more innocent, more accepting, a little less of a bitch. Yes I get that. I’m so hard hearted sometimes, I know its because of what I’ve been through, but it prohibits so many new things from entering, altogether detrimental. But the good news is that I have control over that, I can get out of this vicious cycle. Discovering how is something else.

Throat Chakra: Guilt
This again has to do with work, I feel guilty that I’m not enjoying what I do, because that means that I’m not putting my all into it. But its cause I just don’t want to. Its frustrating, and I have to overcome this somehow.

Third – eye chakra: Thunderbolt
I’ve had some major revelations and discoveries about what I can do the past few weeks, from being totally unable to meditate or do readings for myself, I’ve come to meditating daily and doing readings like these! Which I even consider difficult to do for other people (it is genuinely not easy to read for yourself). This new self I see emerging has indeed become a new focus in my life, and I’m really liking it.

Crown chakra: Fighting, going with the flow
I so badly want to be my greatest spiritual self, but there are so many battles to face. I need to get into the motion of learning, there is so much I need to learn, and also I need to practice more as a reader, achieve some goals I have for myself. It is a constant battle to maintain the practices I have cultivated. I want it, but getting there requires patience and practice. That’s just part of the deal.

As with other things, since I’ve got my own battles to fight, its good to allow things to happen at their own pace. As long as I constantly put my best foot forward, everything else, I should just let happen. Go with the flow. There are no real deadlines in this journey that I’m taking, since so much of it is internal, so this makes a lot of sense.

Heading towards: Adventure, Clinging to the past, Inner voice
Yes, I am always looking for an adventure, trying to let go of the past and certainly connecting with my inner voice. I think that these three cards give a nice summation to the reading and are a good summation of what I’m heading towards. Just before I did this reading, I was writing about how I need to shake things up a little in my life, I have never been a fan of plateaus.

This is, of course, a very brief interpretation of the reading, typing out every single thing I have to say about the reading will end up in me writing a very long essay, but I have to say, this is a very insightful spread, and I intend on experimenting on it a little more, any guinea pigs??
